About the Opportunity
As an experienced Senior Accountant you will support the The Manager and Partner, taking responsibility for managing more junior staff than yourself and essentially running the engagment.
You will join a team of business advisory experts, with a strong work ethic, dedicated to quality client service adding true client value. You will manage your own files, assist with the supervision of others and liaise with clients.
Provide advice to clients across a broad range of accounting and taxation matters including business structuring, tax minimisation, business performance coaching, budgeting and forecasting, asset protection, business feasibility, succession planning and specialist superannuation and taxation consulting.
Knowledge and Experience

Tertiary Qualifications in Business or Commence with an Accountancy Major

Preferably CA or CPA qualified, however not essential

Proven experience in a similar role

A thorough understanding of Australian legislative taxation requirements

Experience with Electronic Work Paper
Primary duties include:

Preparation of financial accounts and income tax returns for companies, partnerships, trusts and individuals

Tax research and general tax administration e.g. Preparation and review of GST and PAYG, BAS and IAS forms for all entity types

Responsibility for servicing a range of clients including participation in client meetings

Contribute to continuous improvement of systems and work practices

Application of technical knowledge and an awareness of relevant legislation to identify and resolve issues provide recommendations to Manager

Demonstrated interest in individual client needs

Meet budget and productivity targets as agreed with Director

Attend external and internal training seminars to develop and maintain personal & professional skills

Manage and prioritise workload to ensure simultaneous tasks are completed effectively, communicate any issues/delays that will prevent the achievement of predetermined deadlines

Responsible for delegating client work to accountant and graduate accounting staff ensuring the adherence to chargeable hours budgets, lodgement deadlines, skill level and overall work
