About the role

We have a great opportunity for a qualified Senior Accountant to join our growing business. We offer a diverse range of services across a range of client structures and industries.  We are committed to providing excellent service to our clients.

Working in a team, you will devote your time to a broad portfolio of clients, assisting them with their accounting and taxation requirements from start to finish. You will take charge of client files and manage client needs as a Senior Accountant.

Skills & Experiences

To be considered for the role, you MUST have:

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in local public practice
  • Strong technical understanding of Division 7A, FBT, GST & CGT
  • Sound taxation knowledge including ability to research and advise on tax matters
  • Excellent workflow / time management skills
  • Clear communication skills (both verbal and written) and attention to detail
  • A hands on, can do attitude to problem solving – we do not micromanage!!
  • Advanced experience with Microsoft Office products especially Excel
  • Knowledge of MYOB AE, Xero, Quickbooks and other MYOB related products is an advantage.  As is experience with Electronic work papers

Duties & Responsibilities

Some specific responsibilities will include:

  • Liaison with clients / Bookkeepers / Financial Controllers / Banks / Government Agencies
  • Preparation of financial statements and income tax returns
  • Preparation of tax reconciliations / excellent workpapers
  • Preparation of FBT returns and Activity Statements
  • Preparation of Management Reports
  • Evaluation of Div7A implications and preparation of loan repayments
  • Preparation of tax projections for planning purposes
  • Preparation of Cashflows / Budgets / Business Plans
  • Prepare and communicate Management Reports & Advisory dashboards for clients
