Drake International is currently searching for a Senior Financial Certified Public Accountant.
The Role:
The Senior Financial Accountant will have full responsibility for the reporting and processing functions. This position is casual ongoing until December 2018 or longer. The company is based in Geraldton, however the client is happy for the succsseful candidates to work from Welshpool.
Duties:
Annual ReportsTax and Superannuation -
Mange full range of activities, including income, CGT, GST, Payroll, fringe benefirts and PAYG
Accounting Standards: Ensure GFC complinace, includes International Financial Reporting, Standards, and applicable regulatory environment including company Law
Analyse and adivce managemnt and board, provide timley business and board reporting, supports management decision-making
Support managers in complying with budgets and approval systems
Preparing other reports as rquired for banks, the Australian bureau of Statistics and others
Mantain the COA, assigns new classifications and cost codes to ensure the correct and accurate accounting classification of all transactions
Payroll, Manage a timely and accurate payroll function
Assist in the preparation of operating and capital budgets and maintain up to date rolling forecast
Coordinate the development, implementation and operation
Responsible for:
- Accounting function, including reporting
- Risk Management function
- Tax & Superannuation compliance
- Accounting standards compliance
- High performance accounting team
- Managerial decision making
- Management compliance with budgets and approvals
- Risk identification and mitigation
Essential Experinece:
- At leasr 2 years experience in an senior financial position in a large company or significantly sized business unit
- Accounting Degree or equivalent: CA or CPA certification
- Demonstrated experience in the preparation of Annual Reports and Tax Return Informantion
- Sound knowledge of risk managment approach in a corporate setting
- Demonstrate effective interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong business partnering relationships
Desirable Experience and Qualifications:
Experience with foreing exchange transaction management
Cost accounting knowledge in a multi product organisation
