About the Role
A fantastic career opportunity exists for an Accountant with tax background to join an expanding inner city property Investment group. The role will see you providing a range of tax and accounting services to both our employees and our clients.
Responsibilities
- Conversant with Cloud Accounting and Superannuation (Xero and Xero Practice Manager highly regarded)
- Advising and delivering business services (pertaining to taxation) to senior managers and company departments.
- Assist in evaluating and implementing strategic tax planning support.
- Liaising with the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) and preparation of income tax returns.
- Prepare tax calculations for budgetary purposes including Annual Operating Plan and Forecasts.
- Preparation of BAS and GST compliance.
- Preparation of Bank Statements & reconciling with general ledger entries
- Preparation of financial statements (i.e. P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow Statement etc.) and Corporate financial reports.
- Assist external auditor in company finance auditing.
Experiences and Skills
- At least 5 years experiences acting as the sole responsible person for company accounts.
- Minimal 2 years of experiences in tax accounting or working in a tax advisor firm.
- Bilingual skill Mandarin/English is essential.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications, CAP or other certification will be a bonus.
- Experience with all types Tax Returns.
- Excellent technical skills, with little error rate from past jobs.
- Critical and analytical thinking to solve problems.
- Strong focus and dedication to meeting and exceeding agreed KPIs and deadlines.
- Solid history of building strong client relationships resulting in higher revenues and profits for the firm.
