Change is in the air …

In order to provide life-saving services to the community this crucial non-profit aeromedical charity has leveraged its specialist capabilities to develop complementary ‘profit-for-purpose’ business ventures that together with community fundraising, sponsorship, and funding through government service agreements ensure a high level of aeromedical service to the community is maintained.    

This pivotal, leadership role on the Company Executive has three key objectives. These are to reset, sharpen and consolidate the commercial focus of existing commercial activities; identify, assess and develop new niche opportunities and maximise revenue from all commercial enterprise

Can you meet the challenge?

Obviously the first requirement is that you have already proven yourself in comparable business development, commercialisation and change management roles at this senior level. This may have been in Australia, globally or both.

Ideally, it will have given you actual experience in the aviation industry. Or, at least a thorough understanding of how it works. Medical knowledge will also be beneficial although is not essential.

While we anticipate you will bring all of the personal resources, attributes, skills and capabilities inherent in a role of this calibre, some strengths will be particularly useful.

For example, you need exceptional strength and purpose. You must be capable of running this unit as a progressive, financially viable business while collaborating with the executive team to investigate and develop its tactical, sustained growth in a complex, changing market.

As you scrutinize the business and its situation in the landscape, evaluate available resources and investigate both apparent and ‘hidden’ opportunities for development, you will be developing pricing, sales and marketing strategies and compiling intelligence for your regular reports to the Board.

Drawing on extensive leadership and management experience in business development, marketing, human relations, staff management, budgets, networking and relationships, you will boost morale as you build a contemporary team culture with a new and exciting spirit.

Media savvy and exceptionally well-connected, you are a confident speaker and negotiator, well-equipped to promote ‘your’ organization with senior government and corporate entities. Influential and convincing, you consistently demonstrate inventive, entrepreneurial ways of working at multi-levels to ensure excellent outcomes in line with Board-driven requirements.
