 TILT Industrial Design provide architects with the creative freedom to develop their designs beyond the constraints of traditional construction methodology. Their comprehensive design and development service also extends to a range of public art, construction and industrial products.
 
TILT is seeking an experienced General Manager with strong capabilities in creative thinking and change management, who possesses a cogent business acumen with the ability to streamline and direct an organisation to improve efficiencies, profitability and the work place culture and environment.
 
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
  • Review existing systems and manage the implementation of change as appropriate to improve business practices
  • Identify new opportunities and ways to enlarge the current scope of works
  • Oversee the management of incoming leads and assess project opportunities in consultation with the director, sales & design teams
  • Develop approaches to sales based on client type, project type, project probability, value, technical and commercial risk etc.
  • Oversee the delivery of projects, including the management of staff resources, schedules, budgets, cash flow, contract administration, design quality assurance, internal meetings, to ensure projects are delivered successfully from a technical design perspective, on time and on budget
  • Forecast opportunities and projects from a workload and potential income perspective to assist with resourcing and financial modelling
  • Manage human resources strategies including hiring appropriately to deliver growth effectively and incentivise staff
Skills and Experience
  • Creative Thinking

  • Exceptional coordination, administration, and communication skills
  • Ability to streamline and direct an organisation to improve efficiency, profitability and the workplace culture/environment
  • You must have a minimum 10 years’ experience in commercial management
  • Change Management
  • Proven track record of senior, strategic leadership and team management
  • Results oriented with proven experience in developing operational plans, financial plans, business plans, and budgets for managing business performance
