The Role

As their Practice Manager your role will be to ensure the smooth running of the office, team and projects by overseeing and taking responsibility for Operations, HR and Finance.  You will be supported by the Senior Leadership team and the wider business support function.  This is initially a 12-month contract role.

Role will include:

  • Overseeing daily operations of the business
  • Maintaining records and insurances
  • Engaging in Business Planning with the Directors
  • Liaising with suppliers and contractors as well as taking care of facilities management
  • Working with accounts to provide financial reports
  • Overseeing cashflow and employee expenses
  • Preparation of and follow up on invoices
  • HR; recruitment, inductions, training and reviews.

Skills and Experience

This is an all-round business support and operations management role and requires someone with experience across all functions including HR, Finance and Operations.  The ideal person will be able to demonstrate:

  • Prior experience in a similar role, ideally within architecture, design, construction or another creative industry.
  • Business and financial acumen
  • Experience overseeing HR in a small-medium sized firm
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of people
  • Self-motivation, drive and autonomy
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel
