This diverse opportunity is ideal for an experienced and motivated person seeking to further develop their skills in the not-for-profit sector. Working through Association Professionals for an active and growing not-for-profit professional association, the incumbent will concentrate on business development – adding value by providing executive support to the Board and Committees, developing new member benefits, marketing and promotion, and strategic partnerships.
Key duties

Key selection criteria
- Proactive, outcome-focused approach and a commitment to ongoing professional and personal development
- Demonstrated ability to think critically and develop solutions to achieve client goals
- Project management experience, including scheduling, managing stakeholders and delivering outcomes within timeframes and budget
- Demonstrated capacity to manage multiple projects and day-to-day duties simultaneously, within agreed timelines and budgets
- Experience working closely with volunteers and committees to achieve outcomes
- Demonstrated experience in undertaking research and/or benchmarking exercises
- Excellent written communication skills across a wide range of collateral including formal correspondence, Board reports, submissions, position statements, publications, web content, social media
- Excellent verbal communication skills, demonstrated ability to engage with members and potential members, industry leaders, sponsors and government
- Experience in building income streams such as sponsorship from a range of stakeholders
- High level computer skills including MS Office, database and website CMS
- Relevant experience in the not-for-profit sector
- Ability to travel and occasionally work outside of usual hours.
Desirable
- An understanding of the role of professional associations within the broader industry segment
- Experience in advocacy and/or healthcare regulation
- Relevant professional qualification(s).
