As an industry leader, we continue to expand across Australia. With growth comes opportunity. We have a great position for a transformational leader to drive the Operations in NSW & ACT. Reporting to the Executive General Manager for East Coast this position is directly accountable for the safe delivery of all operational functions and for strong financial outcomes in this $400 Million business.
Operating within a matrix environment, this position will drive core rental business across 2 states with accountability for Rental Operations, Service, Maintenance, Field Sales, and Support Functions. The opportunity will likely appeal to a practiced, senior business professional, experienced at creating, leading and mentoring high performing teams.
You will need a strong track record in a related industry, demonstrated experience in achieving results, implementing change strategies and providing seamless leadership to a large and diverse team of approximately 450 staff.
KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Promote our Safety First - Zero Harm safety culture
- Optimizing operational performance and driving a high-performance people culture
- Maximise the financial returns for the business across NSW & ACT
- Regular travel across your geography will be required monthly for this role
- Identify opportunities for growth, implement strategy and allocate resources to achieve the growth.
- Manage performance, develop people and influence employee engagement
- Ensure the business is delivering quality outcomes and compliance with our customers’ needs
- Coordinate and deploy sales, operations and service strategies to achieve profit and growth targets
YOUR SKILLS & EXPERTISE
- Strong and relevant experience ideally gained from a networked business
- Strong understanding of customer needs and drivers in construction/industrial and mining sectors
- Prior experience in leading a Zero harm safety culture
- Prior strong experience in management of a sales and operational team
- Strong understanding of commercial and financial aspects of business
- Ability to deliver quality outcomes through effective planning and resource management
