Stramit Building Products is a leading Australian manufacturer of steel building products, including roofing, walling, gutters and fascia, purlins, flooring, structural formwork and roller doors. It operates 18 sites across Australia, generates over $480M in annual revenue and employs 810 full-time employees. It also owns three distribution and franchise businesses in the pre-engineered building market, Fair Dinkum Sheds, Shed Boss, and SOL Home Improvements.
We have a nation-wide network of manufacturing and distribution centres and are part of the Fletcher Building group, a diversified building industry company embarking on a new strategy and focusing its portfolio on the New Zealand and Australian markets.
About the opportunity
As the National Distributor & Franchise Manager, reporting directly to the General Manager, you will play a critical role in the success of the business.
- Join the Stramit Leadership Team and shape the strategy to achieve significant EBIT and ROFE growth
- Be the voice of 200+ distributors and franchisees across Australia and New Zealand
- Understand our “in Market” value proposition and develop a transformation program centred around employee achievement, customer value and shareholder returns
- Lead a core team to provide drafting, engineering, software and support services to our Building Distribution Network
- Continuously challenge and rebuild the competitive foundations of product, service and price
- Travel frequently and extensively to a geographically diverse Building Distribution Network
- Spend time in the field with staff, distributors, franchisees and suppliers to drive growth, improvement and assistance
About you
To be successful you will need:
- A high level of drive, energy and enthusiasm
- Extensive experience in a similar national business leadership role, with operations across multiple sites
- Proven experience managing large, complex, and independently owned and operated distribution networks
- Demonstrated leadership skills including the ability to coach, mentor and develop high performing teams
- Proven ability to transform businesses, increase profit and achieve above market growth
- Demonstrated cross-functional experience covering sales, project management, customer service, engineering, software development, marketing and legal (including contract management and negotiation)
- Relevant education, qualifications in Engineering/Business/Commerce/Marketing or other relevant tertiary degree
