The Buttery is a well regarded not-for-profit, addiction recovery center based in Bangalow Northern NSW. It specializes in the treatment of alcohol, drug misuse, problem gambling and related health issues. The Buttery offers a range of residential and community outreach programs and has recently opened a specialist wellbeing health retreat known as The Buttery Private.
An opportunity exists for an experienced Manager with strong strategic, operational and leadership ability to ensure the organization continues to deliver a suite of world “best practice” rehab programs.
The role of CEO reports to a fully committed and accomplished Board and will work with an incredibly dedicated internal team of qualified counsellors, psychologists, program managers & coordinators and other allied health specialists.
Success will require you to -
- Implement short and long term strategies to ensure The Buttery remains to be a major provider or drug and alcohol treatment services in Northern NSW;
- Collaborate and engage with a range of internal and external stakeholder groups to promote awareness and further enhance The Buttery brand;
- Ensure the sustained funding of programs and services, including government grants, tenders, corporate and private donor support and fundraising;
- Ensure fiscal management of the organization as well as governance, risk management and compliance;
- Lead, manage and inspire and mentor all professional and administration teams so a cohesive and collaborative culture is established;
- Review all programs and services to ensure they meet industry ”best practice” and are aligned to the purpose, values and vision of The Buttery; and
- Advise the Board on emerging issues, trends and opportunities within the drug and alcohol rehab not for profit sector.
This role requires strong strategic, operations and influencing skills, exceptional commercial acumen and a true leader who can engage at both Board and grass roots level. An accomplished Manager, you can demonstrate success in leading a similar values based health or community based organization.
Relevant tertiary qualifications are essential. Prior exposure to drug and alcohol related issues is advantageous, and an empathy for these issues is absolutely essential.
