The company is a professional, entrepreneurial, urban developer with an impressive 30-year track record and annual sales of around $150m and growing. To date it has developed 16,000 residential allotments including 4,500 homes. Existing developments are in Brisbane, Coffs Harbour, Sydney, Wollongong, Canberra and Melbourne. A number of new projects are also at acquisition stage in these areas.
Our current Chief Operating Officer is a natural leader with an analytical mind and is retiring in 12 months, after a long career with the company. This role is a vital support to the CEO in coordinating development, building and construction projects across the group. Reporting to the CEO, the role is responsible for the timing, budget, quality and safety objectives of the company in operational areas. You will be responsible for the management of all building and development operations, assisted by a senior manager for building, a senior manager for civil works and four highly capable supporting managers. Your contribution and leadership will play an essential and significant role in the ongoing and growing success of the organisation.
You will drive the development and construction of each project, with oversight of all operational aspects of the company. In addition, you will have interaction with key stakeholders to ensure the continued growth and profitability of the organisation.
Your career history will demonstrate a high level of performance in operational areas, with a commercial but responsible attitude and a reputation for operational efficiency. Combined with relevant qualifications, you will have successful experience within construction management and a desire to take the next step in your career. You will have outstanding and mature communication skills, particularly in dealing with other managers and the CEO.
