My client is looking for a contract Regional Operations Manager to assist the business for a 3 to 6 month period.
Located in South, South East Melbourne you will be responsible for supporting the State Manager with day to day running of the business, commercially and financially. This is a role that will requires extensive understanding and demonstrated ability working within and as part of a service based business.
Specific Responsibilities Include.
• Provide the designated State Manager and account management team with sound commercial, process improvement and financial advice to contribute to the achievement of the financial and business objectives
• Timely and effective preparation analysis and interpretation of trading and other key drivers (such as productivity, WIP open calls etc) to the state management team
• Through training and education, ensure comprehension and effective use of business KPIs
• Drive the implementation of process and cultural improvement throughout the business in a way that supports, complements and adds to the initiatives of the State Manager and the National Operations Manager
• Development of corrective action plans
• Ensure staff competence and compliance to relevant administration and financial systems and procedures
• Establishing and maintaining strong business relationships with stakeholders and suppliers including effectively managing contract enquiries, issues, disputes, variations, risks and undertaking negotiations with suppliers as required.
• Supporting the State Manager, Finance and Integration through governance, management, planning and compliance
• Providing a range of planning and reporting documents
• Co-ordinate and manage the Accident and incident safety reporting and investigation processes within the state.
Qualifications
• Tertiary qualified in Business/Finance / Commerce.
Essential Skills
• Demonstrated organisational and program planning skills with proven ability to plan work and problem solve to maximise efficiency and work outputs in conjunction with clinical priority to achieve positive outcomes.
• Demonstrated experience and ability working as part of a service based business. This will include a proven ability to plan and deliver outcomes in a Building services environment.
• Highly skilled in negotiation, consultation, facilitation and written and oral communication skills, with a proven ability to develop effective working and strategic relationships and partnerships with a wide variety of senior internal and external stakeholders in an overall environment of change and competing priorities.
• Proven ability to understand, interpret and apply complex statutory, regulatory and policy instruments to provide assurance that asset related risk, safety and compliance obligations are demonstrated and addressed in a transparent and methodical manner
• Ability to analyze data efficiently, preparing accurate reports with commentary for senior management
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
• Strong clear communicator with all levels of the organisation
• Six Sigma, ACE, LEAN or other process mapping and improvement training
