The Role:

The role of Executive Manager NSW CTP Claims exists to transform and improve claims handling and operational results for GIO and AAMI within the NSW CTP scheme.

The role will lead a team that delivers  brilliant CTP claims and customer outcomes, while also maintaining sustainable financial outcomes.   The role is also responsible for executing a program of work focussed on ensuring that we better meet customer needs, share best practice, leverage our scale and create personal injury professionals for the future.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute claims strategies to reduce both the overall claims liability and operational expense position of the team through the development of innovative solutions.
  • Execute a program of work focussed on better meeting customer needs, sharing best practice, leveraging our scale and creating personal injury professionals for the future.
  • Contribute to the development of the Personal Injury Claims strategic roadmap and work collaboratively with the Personal Injury Claims leadership team in the achievement of the strategy.
  • Develope and manage budgets for NSW CTP Claims ensuring a focus on short, medium and long term profitability for the scheme.
  • Act as a point of escalation to influence outcomes that will support the team and the division to achieve its goals and objectives.
  • Sponsor change and support key initiatives ensuring a Personal Injury focus.
  • Provide input to the claims design process.
  • Develope a business that delivers on the defined customer offering.

Skills & Experience:

  • At least 10 years commercial experience in insurance or financial services.
  • Preferably 5 years management experience in insurance claims.
  • Proven leadership experience within CTP ClaimsStrong knowledge of insurance CTP claims or other personal injury schemes
  • Extensive commercial experience in insurance or financial services
  • Degree in Business, Commerce, Law, Medical or Allied Health
