About the role…

The successful individual will enjoy implementing improved asset management in a complex and dynamic facility, and working with a diverse range of stakeholders. They will apply maintenance planning skills and knowledge applicable for assets relating to one of the following areas:

Commercial – Accommodation, commercial food & beverage, events

Structures – exhibits, buildings, fences, paths, roadways, and heritage structures

Key accountabilities…

  • Manage the development and implementation for new workflow processes
  • Contribute to the operation and availability of exhibits and facilities by planning and scheduling work requests.
  • Ensure the efficient use of resources by preparing staff rosters and by planning and allocating work requests to staff and contractors.
  • Manage minor works contracts.
  • Finalise work requests by verifying successful completion of work with the initiating stakeholder.
  • Assist in complex maintenance works by providing input into the scope of work requests and development of options and provision of estimates so that stakeholders can make meaningful decisions on the viability and priorities of requests.
  • Provide maintenance and services infrastructure input to the planning and design of specific capital works projects.
  • Manage and maintain asset data base ensuring that all information is updated and revised regularly and carry out regular audits to maintain accuracy of the data.
  • Lead, manage and supervise employees, allocate duties, provide direction on work, ensure the quality of works, monitor performance, plan and schedule tasks, and establish goals and timeframes.

About you…

We are looking for candidates that have:

  • Tertiary or Trade qualifications in Facilities Management, Project Management of Construction or an equivalent combination of knowledge, skills and experience.
  • Hold a current NSW Drivers Licence or ability to have existing license formally recognised, including manual vehicle operator.
  • Obtain and maintain a current paid NSW Working with Children Check at own expense.
