As the Senior Executive within the Sustainable Development Directorate, you will lead and drive all Sustainable Development activities across Council. Your strategic focus will be on the development of highly influential frameworks including the Planning Scheme, Waste Management Plan and the Economic and Tourism Strategies while from an operational management perspective, you will guide and manage all sustainability, environmental engagement and climate change adaption activities. You will also be responsible for maintaining financial sustainability across the Directorate.
As a proven and highly experienced Senior Manager, you have an innate ability to lead and inspire multi-disciplinary teams working within complex, stakeholder driven organisations. A creative and lateral thinker, you can quickly adapt to meet changing demands and flexible dynamics while never losing sight of the main objective. You have a strong hands-on working knowledge of Local Government processes and legislation including contemporary economic development practices and strategic advocacy principles.
