Our client is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to work in the Electrical & Telecommunications Infrastructure market. The business has extensive experience delivering infrastructure solutions for the telecommunications sector and has become a leader in end to end delivery of wireless and cable networks, from the design, construction and commissioning, to on-going maintenance and support. Customers range from residential and rural properties to small businesses and large multinational corporations in industries such as manufacturing, mining, shipping, engineering, tourism and agriculture.
Based at Artarmon, you will be responsible for the delivery of business development functions, managing client relationships and ensuring revenue targets are met through obtaining external work at the appropriate margins. Importantly you will be undertaking a commercial leadership role in developing a profitable business and ensuring excellent service for customers through implementing a culture that is highly customer centric. You will be adept at balancing competing demands with budgets and organisational requirements to develop new opportunities though activities not previously pursued.
Suitable candidates will ideally have a degree in Business, Engineering or similar, supported by relevant experience. You will have the ability to undertake a business development role in the construction and engineering market through your significant industry experience and build a portfolio of projects in either the infrastructure, utility or construction industries. Experience in bid management and estimating and experience with the Contestable market is highly regarded. You will also have proven management skills and experience in leading teams of professional and technical staff.
