Community Owned Enterprises, COE is a not for profit organisation that supports enterprise development and the creation of employment opportunities for people living in remote and regional Australia.

COE’s core objective is to support and empower individuals to be independent business owners and operators and/ or grow existing business and local community organisations, with viable and sustainable business enterprises. This is an exciting opportunity for an energetic Enterprise Manager to join our team.

The Enterprise Manager will promote and lead business growth by identifying and enabling situations for enterprises to prosper. The Enterprise Manager will have the leadership, relationship management, project management, business and negotiation skills to convert enterprise concepts to start-up businesses and take them to their full potential .
This position leads a small team to support local enterprise development and empower communities in various remote and regional areas across Australia.

To be successful in this role you will have:

• Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or relevant applied industry knowledge and experience in business and enterprise start-ups;
• Understanding and knowledge of Australian Indigenous culture and protocols;
• Exceptional business, research and organisation skills;
• Proven experience establishing relationships and partnerships with the corporate sector, Government agencies and Philanthropic organisations;
• Experience working with stakeholders and organisations from remote indigenous communities;
• Proven ability to lead and manage a high performing team;
• Current Driver’s Licence, Police Check and relevant Child Suitability Card or ability to get one
