About the role
As the General Manager you will be responsible for maximising the performance and effectiveness of the in house teams. As part of the senior leadership team you will become an integral part in the businesses ongoing success. This position reports into the Directors and they are looking for someone who has, as they do a real passion for wanting all staff to succeed, and a passion for building strong relationships to achieve success. 


Duties

  • Responsible for the overall performance and profitability of the departments within the region
  • Communicate performance expectations and support the team by building required competencies, providing feedback, managing behaviours and performance gaps
  • Ensure all departments are seamlessly working as a unified team
  • Identify and lead projects for business improvement and growth
  • Evaluate current business processes and systems and implement changes where required to maximize operating efficiency
  • Prepare and implement annual business plans and budgets
  • Deliver reports and forecasts for the board
  • Supporting the Directors to set and communicate the company vision
  • Act within the guidelines of the Estate Agents Act and any other relevant legislation and within the ethical guidelines of the business.

  
Skills and Experience

  • Demonstrated experience managing a team in a Commercial Real-estate Environment -with particular emphasis on dealing with a multiple group of clients
  • Strong financial and business acumen
  • Ability to demonstrate sound judgment and decision making
  • Excellent communicator with high level stakeholder engagement
  • Demonstrated initiative and thorough leadership
  • Certificate IV in Property Services highly advantageous
  • Proactive and influential to create a high performing team culture
