General Manager – Supply Chain
- Global Mining Engineering Equipment Supplier

Our client is a global manufacturer and supplier of innovative engineered products for the mining industry sector which provides it’s customers with industry leading applications to drive business productivity and asset reliability in their operations. With this trusted market reputation, this business partners with global mining houses and equipment providers to ensure that it meets the challenging demands of these operations.
We are recruiting for an established Supply Chain Executive to lead the business in their next phase of growth to drive business improvement and further develop international manufacturing partnerships based in China and other regions.
Reporting to the Chief Operations Officer, your key role deliverables are:
- Provide leadership to the Supply Chain team with key focus on customer service & delivery;
- Management of manufacturing partners in China & locally; ensuring strategic demands can be achieved to meet global requirements;
- Focus on suppliers ability to deliver to agreed service level agreements and including management of the S&OP process;
- Critical review and control of supply chain costs across inventory, transport, freight, warehousing, distribution and related logistics expenditure;
- Management of supply chain contracts; and negotiation of these to drive business efficiencies;
- Focus on continuous improvement to drive supply chain & logistics efficiencies across the business and it’s suppliers with shared benefits to it’s customers;
- Participate as a key contributor of the Executive Leadership Team providing advice & direction on all supply chain matters.
As a successful candidate, you are an experienced Supply Chain professional with demonstrated track record in the leadership of regional supply chain teams & functions. Whilst not essential, a preferred requirement is bilingual fluency with Mandarin & English skills. Most importantly you will demonstrate a capacity for successful development and fulfilment of relationships in the delivery of the supply chain strategy and working in partnership with Chinese trade partners.
As a natural leader, you will look for opportunities to develop your team and challenge existing business process. Tertiary education will support your Supply Chain career development, and related postgraduate qualifications are highly regarded. Experience in manufacturing, metals, mining or industrial sectors is highly regarded.
