We have a rare and exciting opportunity for an experienced, strategic property professional with excellent leadership and influencing skills, strong financial acumen, communication and interpersonal skills, whom is solution and results driven.   

As Managing Director you will operationalise and execute strategies within ACT that will contribute to Knight Frank Australia's vision of being the place for the best property professionals. As part of the National Executive leadership team, you will drive ACT's financial performance across all service lines to meet revenue and profit targets and nationally build market share in the long term.

We are seeking an enthusiastic leader with a proven track record in a similar commercial property role, able to influence and contribute to the strategic direction of Knight Frank Australia whilst building strong relationships across the Knight Frank group.

The Role: 

  • Align ACT's 3-5 year strategic plan to the national strategy, goals and pillars.
  • Determine strategic initiatives by analysing past performance and success in meeting financial and operational objectives.
  • Identify and capitalise on growth opportunities through strategic guidance, planning, development, and implementation of service delivery and information.
  • Provide an effective mix of product, price, promotion and distribution to support the achievement of revenue targets at satisfactory profit levels and within budget parameters.
  • Budget management, strategic financial forecasting
  • Influence and maintain strong relationships with our executive Board, service line leaders, business services functions and agents nationally
  • Provide leadership and management to the Executive team.
  • Attract, engage, develop and retain employees in line with our vision

The Person:

With a mix of both strategic and operational skill, you will be equally comfortable setting the strategic direction, engaging the team with your vision and leadership, and rolling up your sleeves negotiating deals.

Results oriented, you will have excellent relationship-building skills together with high levels of drive and commercial business acumen.

You will have a proven track record of successful negotiations and a demonstrated ability to identify and capitalise on growth opportunities through the development and maintenance of a wide network of contacts in the property industry.

Finally, the successful candidate will also have:

  • Agents Licence
    • Significant commercial property experience including processes and documentation
    • Extensive knowledge and understanding of the commercial property market, local knowledge will be highly valued
    • Tertiary qualifications in Property or equivalent
