  • Leadership opportunity for an experienced product development professional

Reporting to the Board, the CEO will be responsible for building an innovative business with global application. The role will focus on driving new product/service development, achieving initial market uptake and implementation of growth strategies.

What You'll Do:

You will be an experienced new product development professional that is comfortable working with cutting edge technologies. Ideally, you will also be accomplished at launching and growing innovative new products / services in competitive market sectors.

You will lead a multi-disciplinary team, be comfortable in working with research and development teams and multiple internal and external stakeholders.

You will be comfortable leading business development and commercial partnership initiatives.

You will have experience in developing new product / service strategies, including go-to-market strategies.

You will be an excellent communicator and provide timely reporting to the company board and key stakeholders.

You will be enthusiastic, confident and dedicated to grow this business to the next level.

Some domestic and international travel will be required as part of this role

What You Bring:

The following experience and attributes would be an advantage:

  • Experience in leading and building new product / service-based businesses
  • Experience in new product/service development, including product marketing and sales
  • Experience with go to market strategies with emerging technologies
  • Pre-existing, or ability to rapidly build, extensive networks and knowledge across the agricultural market value chain
  • An ability to pick up and understand technology concepts, particularly in the precision agricultural sector.  
  • Demonstrated track record of delivering commercial milestones within a resource constrained environment.
  • Self-starter who can work in a very fast-moving environment
  • Excellent communication, presentation, prioritization, and organizational skills, and a strong commitment to detail
  • Experience in management of staff and contractors
  • Appropriate tertiary / business qualification
