About the business and the role

The Schletter Group is a global leader in the provision of high quality solar mounting systems customised to the demands of large scale commercial and residential installations with the knowledge and expertise accrued from over forty years of experience. The solar mounting systems are designed to reduce installation complexities whilst delivering superior durability over the lifetime of the installed system. Engineered in Germany and certified in Australia. 

The Australian team is has focussed on customer service and support, achieving solid sales and revenues during its early years of operation. In the region, China has a large team and a manufacturing facility that supplies most of the product for the Australian Market. 

Job tasks and responsibilities

The organisation requires a proven leader with a highly successful track record of sales and marketing of products and services preferably in the sector of renewable energy. The person will have the demonstrated ability to develop business strategies to grow sales and revenue. They will be able to cultivate networks necessary to establish Schletter's credentials with a wide variety of organisations involved in the renewables sector in Australia including state and federal government regulatory agencies, financiers and contractors. 

Skills and experience

The successful candidate will have the commercial experience to develop opportunities through to preparing bids and winning major contracts. They will be comfortable making key critical decisions and recommendations regarding opportunities and possess outstanding interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills. 

Ideally the appointee will have worked in multi-national organisations and have an extensive understanding and appreciation of how to communicate effectively over significant geographic and time differences to build productive working relationships in the region and with the German global leadership.
