This role is working with a leading global agricultural fund who is on a strong growth trajectory and looking to appoint a strong General Manager to head up their operations here in Australia. This role will oversee all aspects of operations including performance management through to identifying future acquisitions possibilities.

Description
This role will encompass the following key duties -
- Manage ongoing operations (farms, abattoirs and slaughter houses) including oversight on future expansion
- Deliver on financial performance targets including the full suite of required reporting
- Manage a team of professionals that will manage all aspects of the processing facility
- Identify growth opportunities both from a greenfield and acquisition perspective
- Engage with ownership and customer groups in a proactive and positive way
- Provide a presence for the group within the industry and wider community engagement
- The role will require semi-regular domestic travel and some international travel
Profile
In order to be successful for this role candidates require the following skills & experience -
- History of working with the agricultural beef sector in a senior management role
- Able to engage with customers throughout Asia with experience in China considered advantageous
- Full understanding of operations management from sourcing primary product through to processing and subsequent sale/trading process
- Able to present to operational staff and owner representative's alike
- Professional presentation and communication skills
