As the CEO of Bovara, you will be decisive.  When faced with incomplete information, ambiguity or unfamiliar territory, you are able to consistently make timely decisions with convictions.  You have the courage to bear responsibilities and be accountable for the outcomes of your calculated business decisions; and would be quick to execute contingency plans to steer the Company out of any incorrect course.  Your decisions are based on what is best for the business, which may be difficult at times, when it is not by major consensus.  You would seek to have diverse perspectives from key stakeholders – in giving them a voice, but not a vote.  You alone will make and be accountable for what you think is the best decision for the step forward.

 

You are also able to engage stakeholders, from internal grass roots employees to C-suite executives of external customers, suppliers and the media.  You are able to identify their needs and motivations, how best to align these to the business objectives, and to secure their buy-ins for a win-win.  You are a leader who is able to instil confidence that you are able and committed to leading the team to success.  You would have high EQ, the ability to remain calm under pressure, and are strong in conflict resolution.

 

It is critical that you are able to adapt to the current volatile and emerging changing business/market landscapes.  You are able to make quick decisions and adjust the Company short/medium/long-term business strategies and operational model to ride the change.  You would be spending at least 50% of your attention in strategic long-term planning.  With a growth mindset, you will be tapping into broad information streams from diverse sources and wide networks to pick up early signals of change in the industry or chosen market sectors.

 

Last but not least, it is imperative that you score high on reliability.  You are able to, not just once, but consistently deliver on your commitments and produce results above expectations.  To be successful, you will have strong organization and planning skills, able to optimize business systems and able to form the right team in place, based on relevance to the role rather than personal comfort or loyalty.  You are able to identify and establish the right mix of cadence of meetings, dashboards of business performance metrics, and accountabilities – for the team and yourself.  And you set a high performance standard bar!
