You are an accomplished mining executive who has demonstrated experience leading successful junior/mid-tier organisations with both production and exploration activity. Not afraid to be hands-on, you enjoy dealing with a wide range of stakeholders and overcoming the challenges that are unique to the junior listed environment.

Our client is a listed group of companies that has recently moved from explorer to operator through one of its fully owned subsidiaries. With an ambitious executive and board, they want to continue to grow and develop their exploration assets as well as optimise their production operations.

The focus will be on delivering value to shareholders through execution of the strategic plans whilst living the operating ethos which focuses on: an un-comprising commitment to Safety and the Environment; contributing positively to the regions in which they operate; and investing in their people.

To be successful in this challenging but rewarding role, the CEO will have extensive experience in the resource sector in a similar role with proven success in driving operational execution, business development, relationship management and commercial acumen.

The ideal candidate is:

• Experienced in managing full P & L
• Enjoys being very hands-on
• Can confidently work with diverse and challenging stakeholders
• Experienced in understanding and reading relevant Acts and working legally with the various government departments (Department of Mines and & Forestry, Land Court etc.)
• Experienced in managing cashflow tightly
• Enjoys building and growing a business from the foundations within a fast-paced environment
• The ability to show tenacity, be firm but fair, and have a history of holding others to account to deliver results
