Worktrainers, regional Victoria’s most progressive social enterprise, is looking for their next General Manager. Reporting to the CEO, this is a unique opportunity for an accomplished people manager to make a difference within regional communities in North East and Central Victoria.

 

Established in 1989, Worktrainers is now part of The Workgroup (which also includes GAME Traffic & Contracting and Recruitment Select) and is responsible for the delivery of our employment programs, making a difference to the lives of local jobseekers and youth. 

 

With teams located in Bendigo, Benalla, Shepparton, Wangaratta, Albury/Wodonga and Seymour our General Manager will provide leadership to our skilled and committed teams across a broad area.

Working closely with the CEO our General Manager has an instrumental role in achieving the current strategic goal of a 50% increase in the number of people we support within the next 5 years.

 

KEY ATTRIBUTES:

 

  • Ability to manage and support teams to achieve positive outcomes for program participants

 

  • Experience fostering positive relationships with key external stakeholders, including educators and government departments.
  • Excellent organisational, time management, planning and analytical skills

 

  • Energetic and highly motivated, and able to negotiate around challenging scenarios.

 

  • Ability to provide leadership and maintain effective working relationships with diverse teams.

 

  • Sound abilities to problem solve, show initiative and demonstrate accountability.
