About the Role

Reporting to the General Manager, you will be responsible for the delivery of facilities management service, ensuring a whole of life approach to asset management. You will be based on site at the brand new Clarence Correctional Centre, a 1,700 bed state-of-the-art facility.  You will lead your multi-disciplined team to maintain the value of the State’s assets while minimising interruptions to service delivery through the application of scheduled preventative maintenance, unscheduled maintenance and lifecycle replacement; observing functional obsolescence and ensuring that compliance to hand back conditions at the completion of the contract term are met.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • You demonstrate the highest levels of personal integrity and ethical behaviour.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Property Management or equivalent will be highly regarded or relevant equivalent experience in a similar position.
  • Relevant Trade qualifications.
  • Experience in a senior line management position in prisons, detention centre, or similar institutional environment.
  • Strong experience in project management, maintenance management, facilities management or business management.
  • Exceptional people skills, commercial awareness, financial astuteness and customer service skills.
  • Experience managing a multi-disciplinary team in the delivery of facility services across a large complex within an institutional environment.
  • Sound knowledge of relevant legislative requirements according to contract obligations, Codes of Practice, Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) and Australian Standards and any other specific requirements for a Correctional Centre.
