Why this role?

Reporting to the Regional Director, this represents an opportunity to lead our service business in our Northern Region (NOR) covering Queensland and Northern Territory. You will be given the autonomy to make decisions with overall accountability for the success of this business.

You will lead a team of operations managers with a particular focus on driving profitable outcomes through operational efficiencies and ensuring your team is engaged and motivated to perform. This is a high profile and challenging role, but presents a fantastic opportunity to further your career within KONE if successful.

To be successful in this role, you will have strong commercial acumen, great stakeholder management skills and a passion for delivering positive outcomes for your customers and for KONE. The role will suit a leader with a collaborative and hands on approach; someone who has a genuine passion for what their people are doing and getting out into the field and mentoring them.

What will you be doing?

  • Manage the day to day operations of the Service business in the region with full Profit & Loss accountability
  • Lead, engage and mentor a highly professional team
  • Analyse actual performance to plan, recommend and implement corrective actions
  • Drive key projects aimed at continuous improvement
  • Responsibility for managing sub-contractor relationships
  • Ensure strong financial performance through revenue growth and cost management
  • Achievement of KONE's safety targets by developing and maintaining a safety focused culture
  • Ensuring compliance to statutory and KONE policy requirements

Are you the one?

  • Relevant experience gained in a similar role within the service industry, ideally with exposure to the elevator industry, or similar technical building services industry
  • Previous experience managing a Profit & Loss with a track record of driving operational efficiencies
  • Strong leader of people with a passion for mentoring and driving performance
  • Strong commercial acumen with a focus on results delivery
  • Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills
  • Competent computer skills
  • Current drivers licence - ability to travel within the region
