About the company:

One of Australia's up and coming tourism companies, Let's Go Motorhomes is a national brand in the fast-growing motorhome rental sector.  This General Manager role with full P&L responsibility is an opportunity to take this business to another level, driving both international and national revenue whilst further improving the operational landscape throughout its multiple national depots.

About the role:

Let's Go Motorhomes that has been operating for over 20 years and as such has robust business practises and employees. In the last three years it has had significant investment in its people, its fleet as well as an improved e-commerce website on the back of a recent rebrand. The current GM is stepping down after running the business from inception and we seek an industry leader to drive further revenue growth through increased fleet utilisation, excellence in fleet management practises whilst building a best in class (and standardised) customer experience across the differing depots nationally. You'll leverage your tourism industry knowledge and insights gained to execute an existing business plan reporting through to the business's private owner. 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Develop and oversee sales, marketing and pricing strategies that ultimately drive up occupancy rates from both national and international markets while improving overall revenue per vehicle.
  • Working with key trade partners to drive international markets
  • Increase both international and national customer base year on year
  • Set rolling marketing strategy, including channel segmentation and execute though the marketing team
  • Balance fleet capacity with business growth plans
  • Establish and lead the cultural charter for the business
  • Drive organisational change and leadership throughout all levels of the business
  • Some monthly business travel to LGM branches, tour operators, and travel agents across Australia will be required.

Key attributes required:

  • Previous experience within an inventory-based retail rental industry and/or Tourism & Accommodation is highly desirable.
  • Proven experience driving revenue growth through standardised yield management processes and a sound appreciation of retail and wholesale marketing, product positioning and product channelling.
  • Strong knowledge of digital & social platforms
  • Good business acumen and sound appreciation of fiscal accountability and cost management.
  • A successful track record in culture development and managing and motivating staff
  • A tertiary level education or MBA in a relevant discipline e.g. Business, Marketing, Economics or Administration or similar would be an advantage
