- Contract for 5 years with a possibilty of an extension
- Salary in the range of $157,840 to $172,473 per annum excluding superannuation
- Total Remuneration $205,582 - $222,777 per annum including superannuation
The Department of Natural Resources, Mines and Energy (DNRME) is responsible for ensuring the state’s land, water, mineral and energy resources deliver sustainable benefits for current and futures generations of Queenslanders. The Department employs over 2,700 people across metropolitan and regional locations across the state. Together our workforce help the community and the government make the best use of our renewable and non-renewable land, water, mineral and energy resources, and delivering safe, secure, affordable and sustainable energy and water.
The DNRME is seeking an outstanding individual to deliver strategic oversight to the State-owned water entities, assess new water infrastructure proposals and set the framework for the State’s pricing of bulk water for urban and irrigation customers. Reporting to the Deputy Director-General, Water Markets and Supply, this individual will also provide regulatory oversight of SEQ water security planning and implement strategies that support urban water service providers with short and long-term water security planning.
Ideally you will to demonstrate an impressive track record in strategic leadership management in government and/or the water sector - driving a positive team culture. Strong relationship building, political nous, stakeholder management skills and experience in infrastructure assessment or economics are highly desirable.
