Our client is a global IP, engineering, software, and manufacturing company within the mining productivity technology space.
As the General Manager, Digital Innovation you will lead a business unit that is responsible for the long term digital technology strategy and product development strategy of the organisation. Additionally you will be managing a team of software developers, field technicians and sales staff to drive development, sales, delivery and profitability of an innovative digital solutions
Key Responsibilities
- Be the passionate and influential leader of the Digital Business emboldening internal and external stakeholders by exciting them with the Vision and Solutions the business offers them;
- Strategically lead and deliver a digital strategy across the whole-of-life product development environment
- Develop and be the custodian of our digital portfolio roadmap, collaborating to understand the competitive environment, market needs and prioritise development efforts
- Lead business development professionals to generate revenue, grow market share, establish supply agreements and leverage opportunities from other business channels P&L and budgeting responsibility for the Digital portfolio
- Establish and execute operational plans that includes capability building and resourcing and partnering with market leading providers
Experience
- Minimum of ten years management experience in mining, mining services or heavy engineering industry with specific understanding of Digital Product Design and Software Engineering principles.
- Leadership of P&L Business, including business development activities
- Strong understanding of Surface Mining Operations
- Project Management Skills, organisation and planning skills
- Proven knowledge of business and management principles (budgeting, strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources and report writing)
- Strong interpersonal leadership and communication skills - Ability to influence Senior Executives within Customer Organisations, and Internal Stakeholders
