We are currently seeking to fill a Public Sector Senior Executive Band 2 role within the Resources and Land Use Branch in our newly formed Commercial and Economic Group.
 
About the Role
This exciting role offers the opportunity to contribute to the most important policy issues facing NSW, improving the innovation and efficiency of the NSW public sector and supporting the NSW Economy.
 
In this role, you will provide quality strategic advice to support the Premier and Deputy Premier, Ministers, and Department senior executives. By leading and driving complex and innovative policies and advancing policy reform initiatives you will provide guidance and support to cluster agencies, including in meeting the Premier’s and State Priorities, and collaborate on issues and broker evidence based solutions to complex policy matters.
 
The Resources and Land Use Branch comprises of three teams: Planning & Environment, Energy Climate & Change and Primary Industries & Water. 
The Branch tackles complex issues of how to manage the natural resources that underpin economic growth, protect our unique environment and the character of local communities.

  • You effectively collaborate across a range of stakeholders and complex organisations

  • You have led policy development in the resources and land use sector

  2. Describe an example of when you have formulated an innovative solution to a complex problem where you needed to manage competing agendas while ensuring compliance with regulatory and legislative provisions? What was the innovation? What was the outcome?
