The Department of Finance, Services and Innovation (DFSI) is a service provider, regulator and central agency of government. We are transforming the way we do business to help make NSW great. DFSI is responsible for a number of Government key priority areas including major public works and maintenance programs, service innovation, ICT strategy, consumer protection, State taxation and revenue collection, government land and property information, NSW Government property management and teacher housing. 

 

Public Works Advisory are asset advisory experts with a proud history dating back to the first Public Works project in Sydney Cove in 1788. We support our government clients to deliver projects more effectively by providing a bridge between the government and private sector to ensure best fit infrastructure outcomes.

 

As the Director Regional, you will lead a range of strategic and operational advice and services in Asset Advisory and Project Management across the north of the State to ensure better planning and delivery of public infrastructure and environmental projects and services to clients.

 
Some of the key accountabilities of the role include:
 

 

  • Manage the strategic and operational activities of a diverse range of infrastructure services across the region to ensure that client needs are met and value for money achieved
  • Ensure the provision of expert asset advice to State and Local Government to enable the delivery of services to the community
  • Manage organisational change within the region to achieve continuous improvement of services and products for clients
  • Drive the performance of the management team to ensure the levels of professionalism and high standards of all resources while ensuring a customer service culture is a front line aspect in all endeavours
  • Develop and maintain strategic partnerships with clients, stakeholders and executive members to support the provision of the region’s services
  • Lead the region to achieve financial performance, business strategies and ensure budgetary Key Performance Indicators are met and full compliance is achieved
  • Develop and maintain a professional service culture to ensure that regional staff are provided with the skills and opportunities to work together to achieve the organisation's and clients’ objectives
  • Develop private sector relationships in the regions capitalising on NSW Government Infrastructure investment

 

With sophisticated communication skills and proven exceptional leadership capabilities, you will be able to lead and influence stakeholders within a complex and evolving environment.
