Our great team of Account Managers and BDMs need a motivated, charismatic and energetic Sales Manager to take them and our business to the next level. Reporting to, and working collaboratively with the Managing Director, you'll provide support and mentorship to the sales team while leading the way by achieving your own sales targets and building 'Trusted Adviser' relationships with your clients.
The role
Building a high-performing sales team is the #1 KPI for this role. You'll achieve this by working closely with the Managing Director to build a consistent and reliable sales funnel and a happy, successful team. If you're already in a Sales Team Leadership/Management role, you'll know what that requires, but to remind you:
- Inspire, coach and motivate Account Managers and other team members to achieve success by optimising individual and team engagement
- Recruit new team members with the skills, experience and attitude to succeed
- On-board new hires in a way that positions them well for early success
- Conduct annual and ongoing performance reviews
- Implement a best-practice sales management framework that includes regular sales meetings, professional development opportunities and recognition of achievement Conduct sales meetings to guide team
- Build on existing customer relationships
- Proactively seek new opportunities
- Collaborate closely with management to develop concepts and campaigns to attract new customers
- Participate in industry events and conferences
- Prepare and present sales reports and forecasts
What you'll bring to us:
- 3+ years' experience leading sales teams
- A track record of meeting (preferably exceeding) personal sales targets
- Demonstrated ability to source new business
- Experience establishing and maintaining relationships at senior management level
- A genuine customer retention mindset
- Strong attention to details and excellent analytical skills
- Demonstrated ability to solve problems with a positive attitude
