The Organisation 
The NSCA Foundation is a national membership funded industry association that provides information and education for members relating to workplace health and safety. For over 90 years, the NSCA Foundation has been working with Australian businesses across all industries, providing sustainable solutions and helping to protect business' most important asset – people. Today we continue to provide key information to assist its vision that Australian workplaces are the safest in the world.

The Role
Working with a small team in the Sydney office, we are looking for the ultimate people person who can build rapport with our existing membership community and help continue its growth. The Membership Manager will use their commercial acumen to identify new opportunities, build awareness, and showcase the NSCA Foundation as Australia's leading workplace safety community. 

Reporting to the General Manager, you will enjoy a dynamic role that includes regular member correspondence (both phone and face-to-face), attending events, liaising with strategic partners, and continually evolve the membership program. You will work closely with the Events Manager and Marketing Coordinator to ensure maximum uptake of membership benefits. Your main duties will include:

  • Maximising retention and member recruitment opportunities. 
  • Maintaining accurate membership records and financial reports.
  • Responding to or redirecting member queries.
  • Attending NSCA Foundation events, including the annual conference and awards of excellence.
  • Ensuring utlisation of member benefits.
  • Reporting key statistics.

Your Skills and Experience
The successful candidate will possess the following skills and attributes:

  • Experience of working in a membership, not-for-profit or sales environment.
  • Demonstrated business development skills.
  • Sublime communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to present to senior representatives at a range of organisations.
  • High level organisational skills including the ability to prioritise, work to targets and multi-task.
  • Ability to work autonomously and within a team based working environment.
  • Act with personal and professional integrity.
  • Well-developed skills in Microsoft Office programs such as Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Marketing and/or CRM experience (desirable but not essential).
  • Tertiary qualifications or equivalent industry experience in a sales/membership environment.

You will be enthusiastic with a drive to take ownership of your role and exceed expectations. Some interstate travel will be required. Company mobile phone and work laptop included.
