The Company

Founded in over 30 years ago, my client are an established player who provide IT Managed Services to corporate, education and government customers. Solutions offered are myriad, and include IT Managed and Professional Services, Data Storage, Cloud Services, Backup and Disaster Recovery, Networking and Security, Mobility, Infrastructure, IT Risk Assessment, and the like. Their clients are strong advocates for their customer-centric approach to enabling business transformation, which has driven significant growth for the organisation in recent years and seen them fly ahead of their competitors reputationally.

 

The Role

Due to recent growth, my client have a created a new role for an experienced BDM to be based in Sydney, to sit within their Corporate and Government team. This person would be responsible for proactively identifying, qualifying, targeting and pursuing a variety of new business opportunities mid to large tier organisations- both in the public and private spheres- in this end-to-end Business Development role.  An autonomous role which will see you fairly self-managed from day to day, you will still reap the benefits of strong technical backing from the team around you.

 

You

You may have a background in selling IT services, or you may have sold other types of technology. Regardless, my client are looking for you to be able to demonstrate a strong background of new business solution sales, preferably 3 years+, with a strong prior understanding of the Sydney market. My client has an established presence in this space so you will step into a warm pipeline, however ideally you will be somebody who is already familiar with end to end new business development in the technology space, and keen, willing and able to hunt down and pursue new opportunities.
