About the business

Omega Security Solutions are industry leaders specialising in the supply, installation and maintenance of state-of-the-art security solutions. We are an expanding business and as a result, we are seeking a number of talented people to join our friendly and dynamic team. We are currently located close to the West Gate Bridge in Yarraville but will soon be moving to a brand-new purpose-built facility also in Yarraville.

We are seeking an Electronic Security expert to provide sales support, account management, specifying, system design and estimating for our expanding sales and installation teams.

About the role

The Electronic Security Sales & Estimating role will involve:

  • Quoting, specifying and designing Electronic Security solutions
  • Onsite scoping and liaising with clients to determine security system specifications
  • Analysing specifications, plans and related documentation to determine total requirement of materials and labour for security system projects and tenders
  • Prepare cost estimates and quotes for security systems including CCTV, access control, alarms and intercoms, and follow-up as required
  • Process customer orders and monitor progress as required
  • The role is primarily dealing with commercial clients, and you will liaise with both internal and external clients regarding security system specifications
  • Prepare project progress reporting as required
  • Maintain company databases and CRM information in accordance with company guidelines
  • This is a multifaceted role where you will be expected to manage competing priorities, whilst providing exceptional customer service and support.

Skills and experience

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:

  • Previous experience specifying and estimating electronic security products with some support selling required once a specification or estimate has been lodged with a client.
  • A strong aptitude for sales and account management and sales support.
  • A sound knowledge of electronic security products, specifically CCTV, Access Control, Alarms & Intercoms
  • Direct experience with products such as Salto, HIK, Hills & Dahua would be an advantage.
  • Good communication skills both written and verbal
  • The ability to work in a team and also autonomously
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • The ability to read schematics and plans as well as prepare quotes and tenders
  • Hold a current security licence, or ability to obtain one
  • Intermediate computer skills required
  • Hold a current divers licence
  • Finally, we are looking for a person who understands the concept of upsell and can identify further sales opportunities within a scope or specification of service delivery.
