The company
My client is a leading supplier of large diesel engines and turbomachines and their client base encompass predominantly the industrial, marine and stationary applications space.
They specialize in providing power generation and industrial solutions, including compressors, engines, turbines and associated components and they have acquired an excellent market share in Australia and the Pacific region.
The role
The key responsibilities for this position are:
- Investigating and evaluating specific business opportunities
- Providing sound technical advice, quotations and offers
- Customer account management to achieve budgets and set sales targets
- Preparing and negotiation of proposals
- Identify and develop sales opportunities with existing and new customers
- Bid preparation and tendering
My client would like to see candidates that offer:
- Tertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering
- Extensive technical engineering experience within rotating equipment or related industries
- Proven sales record
- Excellent planning and negotiation skills
- Willingness to travel
- Experience working with a multinational company advantageous
