The Client:

Our client is a global manufacturer of high quality and industry leading timber products used in both the residential and commercial construction industry. At the forefront of the industry with product development and innovation, this company have seen growth unprecedented growth in terms of market share and revenues in the last 5 years in the Australian market resulting in them now being the number 1 market leaders in their space. Trading in Europe, Asia Pacific and the USA they have a global footprint and are a highly profitable and market leader. This role is the result of a strategic expansion into the high performing medium density market targeting unit and townhouse development projects. The successful applicant will be set to join the organisation in a front-line sales position with a scope to organically develop their own National team and profit-making division.

 

The Role:

You will be based in Melbourne and the focus of your customer base is in the metro area, however, you will be required to travel both regionally and interstate as required in order to meet your customer’s requirements. This is an exciting and diverse role focused on relationship management with the tier 1-3 medium density residential and commercial builders such as ABD, Hacer Group and Element Five. As the role is specifically designed to target Medium Density Residential Projects it is therefore focused on a booming and highly lucrative market sector that will continue to grow over the next 5 years due to the population growth in anticipated in Melbourne and Victoria.

 

The Candidate:

You will be an accomplished B2B sales professional with a good understanding of the construction industry. Product experience is of less importance than your sales skills as our client is a firm believer that product knowledge can be taught as long as you have the drive, determination and ability to exceed targets and grow accounts. As such, you will be at the top of your game, professional, immaculately presented and highly dynamic. You will be well regarded within your current industry and you will find it easy to gain and establish relationships with your client base. Ideally, you will be degree educated and you will be looking to join a large organisation where you can quickly develop into a management capacity.
