Our client is a well-recognised, global manufacturing company whom produce sustainably manufactured, very high-end functional and decorative Vinyl Flooring for commercial (Retail, Hospitality, Health Care etc) and Multi-Residential applications. They are looking to expand their sales team with the addition of a Senior BDM to target key projects in the Melbourne market. Spending a fortune on research and development they are regarded in the industry as having the best products in their category and can boast an enormous effort to produce sustainably manufactured product utilizing recycled materials at every opportunity.  

 

Covering the Melbourne metro area this role is focused on managing relationships with Architects, Commercial Builders and Contractors. The diversity of the role will offer an opportunity to sell on a technical, creative and commercial level depending on the application of the project you are aiming to secure. Day to day you will be working closely with your clients to secure specifications and track projects through to completion by managing the relationships with the installers.  Due to the nature of the long sales cycle targets will be minimal in your first year to allow you to build your pipeline and develop the territory.

 

You will be a big-hitting specification manager with an established base of relationships in Tier 1 and 2 A&D firms. You will be a comfortable presenter, a natural rapport builder and you will be looking to work for a company with strong brands and products you can really be proud of. You will play the long game with your customers and understand the importance of established and committed relationships. Our client can offer full training on the product range so whilst flooring experience is desirable our client places more emphasis on sales calibre, an eye for detail and your ability to win and break specifications.
