The Role

Due to the growth of the Minetec business, we require a Business Development Manager to play an essential part of the Business Development team. The Business Development Manager will execute upon strategic partnership model approach to significant market creation opportunities in underground mining technology.  We hold the world’s only solution of its kind which has attracted the best known collaboration partner, Caterpillar. The stage is large and the opportunity is immense for Minetec and consequently the outstanding candidate we seek.

In this role, you will:

  • Always being involved at the very front of client interactions.
  • Working with our partner and their dealers to make magic happen.
  • Identify and develop all stakeholders including the end user group.
  • Train and develop the dealer network to help secure business
  • Develop channel initiatives to gain exposure and create real opportunities.
  • Meet and exceed monthly sales targets and meet KPI’s to ensure continued business growth.
  • Partake in industry bodies focused on safety initiatives and build networks in that space.
  • Flexibility in working hours and ability to travel interstate an internationally on an ad-hoc basis.

 

Skills and Experience

You will be degree qualified in Business, Marketing or Management with at least 10 years’ experience in a similar role in a commercial resource sector or safety focused technology solutions. Your exposure to mining or a related technical field would be an advantage. Your marketing experience coupled with your ability to be the “glue” between channel, dealer and end user will set you apart from others.  Problem solving, relationship building and strong communication skills will already be inherent elements of your skill set.
