A market leading, long standing and reputable producer of raw materials, used in a variety range of products in Construction, Consumer goods, and Utility markets. The company have been in operation for over 100 years, and are still family run to this day. The group employ more than 8,000 people across the world. Most of their products have been used to manufacture items consumers use every day, such as Toothpaste, Paper etc. They continue to growth consistently both in headcount and revenue every year. An aggressive expansion plan is set in place, which has created this new role in NSW. This is a junior role, which will enable the company to train and develop the candidate and offer a long and rewarding career path.
Your new role
This role sits within the Construction division of the business, The objective is to increase sales of their product portfolio materials used to produce items such as Adhesives, Paints, Glass, Ceramic’s etc, used in the Building and Construction industry, You will be selling to small/medium sized manufacturing companies of such products, who are existing customers of the organisation, with established relationships in place. Key responsibilities include
- Being face to face point of contact for the NSW customer base
- Establishing and maintaining an effective meeting cycle with customers
- Providing technical support and advice to customers on the product range, with the aim to generate sales
- Identify and proactively target new customers
- Present and promote new products to existing customers
- Report on market and competitor activity to senior management
- Budget forecasting and meeting sales targets
What you'll need to succeed
This is a technical sales role that is very much focused on maintaining relationships and providing support to customers on the features and benefits of the product and how to use them effectively. As the ideal candidate, you will have the following;
- Tertiary qualification in Chemical, Engineering or Science.
- Graduates considered or candidates with 1-2 years’ work experience
- Ability to be self-sufficient and work autonomously
- Motivation and desire to work in a customer orientated position
- Excellent communication skills, with a high level of drive
- Be career orientated and eager to build a career with a large company.
- Full working rights in Australia
What you'll get in return

- Base salary between $65,000 - $68,000
