Zomato is a full stack food tech platform focused on restaurant search, discovery and transactions. Across most of our focus countries, we’re the go to food app for all our users. In the last few years Zomato has also steadily built its transaction business on the back of a strong search and discovery business. Today Zomato has multiple products and services that ensure our users have a great meal, every time!

Zomato plays a critical role in the restaurant ecosystem as well. Restaurants improve their discoverability and service through Zomato’s reviews and rating system whilst using Zomato’s hyperlocal advertising platform to reach out to more users. Additionally, products like Zomato Book help to provide an optimized and cost-effective table reservations system. We are actively working on tech and processes to improve restaurant operations with the aim to continue creating cutting-edge technology to seamlessly connect restaurant businesses and customers in ways that will revolutionize the industry.

About the role:

The Zomato Advertising platform provides smart targeting, a simpler interface and greater visibility to our well rated advertisers. As a Business Development Associate, you will play a key role in acquiring and engaging the right set of restaurants to use Zomato’s Advertising platform and help them drive maximum value from it.

Here's what you'll do day-to-day:

  • Actively contact clients, pitch product and achieve sales targets
  • Identify potential clients and generate sales leads for our product.
  • Identify growth opportunities for your customer base
  • End-to-end sales process, from cold calling to ongoing account management
  • Attendance to regular team meetings, training and strategy sessions
  • Forecasting expected sales
  • Ensuring customer satisfaction levels are exceeded

Here is what we are looking for:

  • Previous experience 1-5 in sales is essential
  • A proven track record of exceeding sales KPI's and driving revenue
  • Resilient and possesses a can-do attitude
  • Career-driven, self-motivated and interested in working for a fast-paced start-up
  • Familiarity with the geography and restaurant industry of Brisbane
  • Articulate, organized, detail-oriented, tech-savvy and has the ability to multi-task
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and unpredictable work hours
  • Great interpersonal skills and demonstrated experience in maintaining and building client relationships
