About the role 

At Sidekicker, being a Sales Development Representative is pivotal to the growth of the business. The Sidekicker SDR team is responsible for calling, qualifying and either (i) on-boarding leads; (2) setting appointments for sales executives for larger leads. SDR leads are sourced from a combination of industry lists ("industry" qualified) and inbound leads ("intent" qualified), and are allocated across the team by industry.  

 

What you'll do;

  • Work efficiently through leads in your territory, and act on marketing generated outbound leads 

  • Pitch the Sidekicker Value Proposition: clearly articulate the Sidekicker value proposition and use cases to new leads, and handle objectives clearly and efficiently

  • Close & Onboard Small Leads: take small to medium sized, ready-to-use customers through the onboarding process, and support them through their first job post experience

  • Schedule Quality Appointments and Meetings: follow a structured discovery processes to identify customer needs and determine whether the lead should be passed through to sales

  • Solve Problems: take the inefficiencies in your role and improve them, then share those learnings with the rest of the team

 

Who you are;

  • An Exceptional Communicator: you're concise, yet effective in both written and verbal communication; you can handle objections and move leads through the sales process

  • Organised and Efficient: you can keep up-to-date with tasks and you are quick and effective at using a CRM to track customer interactions

  • Ambitious and Driven: you can hustle; you are happy to make 70 calls per day, and spend 3 hours per day on the phone, identifying and driving sales opportunities

  • Passionate: you love tech, you love sales and, most importantly, you can effectively share that passion with new prospects

Qualifications

  • University Degree (or equivalent)

  • 1 – 3 years phone sales experience (SaaS preferred)

  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
