About The Role

Our client requires a General Sales Manager to take on the day to day running of the national business to maintain its lead position in the market place and grow. Your management and strategic deployment of sales skill will directly contribute to the company’s success and you will report directly to the Company Director. This is an exciting role which utilise your business acumen and proven record of achievements in sales & marketing strategy and leadership.

About You

If you are currently in a management and people leader role and you are looking for the next big step in your career with a long term view, then this company could be a perfect fit. Your demonstrated skill in managing and growing the Australian market will be key in the company’s expansion into other large markets in the coming years.

You will have sound knowledge in the local building & home improvement industry and have an understanding of the key trade events, business development opportunities and retail sales. You will have Sales and people Management experience, to allow you to effectively engage your team. You must have a pro-active, hands on approach to building business as you will be required to manage and report on all of the local operations to your director overseas . A tertiary qualification or aligned trade paired with a sales background is preferred. It is vital that you possess a positive can do attitude, passion, hunger, drive to succeed, clear and natural communication skills and the ability to lead and inspire your team.
