We are currently recruiting a Senior Bid Manager who will be responsible for driving and delivering to Thales Australia sales strategy by playing a key role in the writing, reviewing and document management of the end-to-end bid and tender process. Reporting to the Director of Sales, Marketing and Bids, you will work closely with a range of internal stakeholders to ensure the collation of tender information, the management of individual tender projects.

This role is positioned within our Ground Transportation Systems (GTS) and Secure Communications and Information Systems (SIX) business unit. GTS is a prime contractor and system integrator delivering smarter and safer solutions across Australia’s public transport, rail and road networks. SIX delivers military ICT solutions, secure communications, electronic vehicle integration, cyber security, intelligence services and equipment support services.

As a Senior Bid Manager, you will be a strategic and solution focused professional with an innovative approach to proposals whilst ensuring compliance with customer requirements and highlighting company value proposition. You will have excellent influencing and negotiation skills and have experience in managing multiple projects and track milestones in line with constant deadlines and changing demands. Your ability to thrive under pressure and implement improved process flow will be key to your success.

The successful applicant will possess extensive experience within a similar bid or tender management role with high value contracts, and have proven written and verbal communication skills. You will have a consultative approach teamed with strong business acumen.

Due to the nature of the role you may be required to travel internationally and be prepared to undergo Australian Defence clearances if customer requests. You will be rewarded with a competitive remuneration package as well as our employee benefits program.
