Hunter Life Education, part of Life Education Australia, has been providing school children of Newcastle and The Hunter Region with the information and tools to empower them to make safer and healthier choices through education for over 30 years. Through in-school programs from pre-school, primary and early secondary, Life Education Australia is the largest non-government provider of drug and health education, operating in all states and territories.
The BDM role is a prominent community and customer facing position, designed to identify, attract and engage fundraising opportunities in the commercial and broader community across the Hunter Life catchment. Reporting to the Executive Officer, the BDM will assist in the delivery of the strategic and tactical objectives of fund generation, fundraising campaigns and donor creation programs.
To be successful in this role, you will possess a tenacious and professional attitude towards sales and the commercialisation of relationships. A strong understanding of customer experience and the ability to clearly articulate the value proposition of Hunter Life for prospective supporters is essential. Previous experience in lead generation, a resilient and positive approach to building new business relationships and the diligence to maintain customer data will be critical to success.
Additionally, you will possess the following:
- At least 2-5 years in business development/B2B sales
- Effective administrative skills including database and CMS management
- Demonstrated success in attracting and maintaining new customers/supporters
- Excellent time management and prioritisation
- Self-motivation and the capacity to work alone as well as in a team environment.
