The main focus of the Finance and Insurance Consultant is to provide high quality finance and insurance services to guests, purchasing both new and used vehicles.
Act as an ambassador of the dealership and Toyota amongst the wider community.
Key job functions & Accountabilities
The Finance and Insurance Consultant carries out a range of duties related to the selling of finance, insurance and aftermarket sales including:
- Providing vehicle finance
- Providing and maintaining automotive insurance policies
- Preparing routine financial documents
- Selling aftermarket products
- Providing a high level of guest service
- Communicating with all parties involved in a purchase
- Maintaining information records system
- Imputing computer data
- Completing finance, leasing and insurance contracts/policies
- Applying the legal requirements to all duties
- Identifying and exceeding the needs of guests by providing in-depth advice and service
- Demonstrating and encouraging behaviours that align with company policies, organisational values and The Toyota Way
Essential Skills/Qualifications/Experience
- Experience in a sales or guest services based role
- Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite of works
- Accreditation and demonstrated understanding of the legislative requirements of the financial services industry
- Ability to build long term guest relationships
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to contribute to building a positive team spirit
- Ability to uphold organisational values and The Toyota Way
- Ability to work in a finance and insurance Team environment.
Desirable Skills/Qualifications/Experience
- Certificate II in Automotive (Administration- Vehicle Financing and Insuring)
- Tertiary qualifications in Business/ Commerce or related field
- Toyota experience (preferred)
- Finance or banking background
- Highly developed knowledge of the automotive industry
- Excellent telephone technique
- Ability to build strong profitable relationships with key internal/ external stakeholders
