About the Opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Hardware Product Sales Manager to join our Queensland team.
You will be responsible for the sales development of the company’s products into the Queensland hardware market with your complete focus on new and existing retail and trade hardware distribution channel business. You will be responsible for promoting a diverse product range and achieving market penetration.
You will be provided with comprehensive training in Mapei products, coupled with the technical knowledge to give you the necessary tools to hit the ground running.
Reporting to the State Manager, your duties will include:
- Managing the hardware business sales activities in Queensland
- Strong focus on developing and growing new business
- Managing and developing a small sales team
- Planning and developing range expansion and review submissions
- Planning strategic promotional activities
- Supporting Key accounts
- Establishing strong relationships
- Attending promotional activities
- Planning and overseeing customer product training programs
- Product demonstrations
- Some country travel is necessary
About the Candidate
You will have a hands-on management style, be self-motivated, results-driven, well organised and presented, along with excellent communication skills.
You will be an accomplished sales representative or sales manager within the hardware industry looking for that next progression in your career. We offer exciting career advancement opportunities for the right person.
You will possess solid sales and negotiating experience, most preferably within the retail hardware market, and ideally possess knowledge of construction chemicals, including waterproofing, sealants, adhesives, levelling and repair products for the construction industry.
While not crucial, candidates with Tertiary or Trade qualifications will be highly regarded.
As you will be required to travel, it is essential that you have a current driver’s licence.
